Christmas Holiday Destinations

Fancy a change from the usual Christmas celebrations in the UK?  Whether you are looking for warm sunshine and Christmas Day spent barbecuing on the beach, an action packed winter break in Orlando or simply a change of culture over the festive period; we have properties in some great destinations that can offer you a different kind of Christmas…

Christmas on the Costa del Sol

Everyone knows that the Costa del Sol is a fantastic summertime destination.  If you want beaches, golf courses and bars galore this is the place to come.  What few people realise is that it is also a fantastic destination in the winter.   Malaga is a wonderful city that is often overlooked in favour of the more popular Granada but it is well worth a visit and the city really comes alive in December.  From the beginning of December Malaga is lit up with millions of fairy lights, there is an ice rink erected near city hall and numerous events are held like concerts and plays.  Malaga is also a great city for shopping so hop over before Christmas and pick up some presents!

The big day of celebrations over the festive period throughout Spain is 6th January, ‘Kings Day.’  This is the twelfth night after Christmas and the day when most Spanish people exchange gifts rather than on Christmas Day.  So why not extend your Christmas celebrations and fly out to Spain in January?

We have lots of great villas on the Costa del Sol that are perfect for winter breaks.  Why not book your trip now?

Christmas in Orlando

Everyone knows that Americans like to do things BIG and the Christmas holidays is certainly no exception!  If you have children then a trip to Disney World in Florida at Christmas time is sure to be an unforgettable experience.  From November right through to the 21st December you can celebrate Christmas with all the favourite Disney characters at ‘Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party’ at Magic Kingdom (additional tickets are required for this event.)  There are numerous other events going on at the other Disney Parks that will enthral even the most cynical of visitors!

Of course Orlando has more than just Disney Parks to entertain holidaymakers.  This is a year round destination and temperatures in December and January average around 20 degrees meaning the many outdoor activities on offer in this fun filled destination are always open.  There are great golf courses, horse riding trails, nature reserves for walking and spotting the abundance of wildlife in the area…the options are endless.

Florida is a popular winter destination so please check out our great selection of Orlando holiday homes now to avoid disappointment.

Christmas in Cape Verde

Cape Verde is a relatively new player on the Christmas holiday destination list but it is rapidly becoming a popular choice (our villas in Cape Verde are certainly popular).  It is favoured by those who would like to escape the craziness of the festive period altogether and lie on a quiet beach with a cocktail instead!  Of course Cape Verde is also a top destination for watersports so if your New Year’s resolution is to take up a new hobby or get active, why not take a trip to Sal and learn how to windsurf!

Accommodation on Sal is affordable and most villas and apartments are just a stone’s throw from the white sandy beach so what are you waiting for?!
