About the area

The Balearic Islands are located in the Mediterranean just off the cost of Spain.  There are 4 Balearic Islands- Menorca, Mallorca, Ibiza and Formentera.  Although heavily influenced by Spanish culture (they are a division of Spain) each island also has its own identity.

Mallorca, the largest of the 4 islands has more passengers passing through its main airport of Palma de Mallroca than any other Spanish city and it's easy to see why holidaymakers can't get enough of thei beautiful island.  Mallorca (along with the other islands) has over 300 days of sunshine a year, wonderful beaches and a rich culture.

Whether you want a relaxing walking holiday exploring Mallorca's mountain ranges, a week clubbing in Ibiza's world famous nightspots or a holiday spent lying on an unspoilt beach in Menorca, you won't be disppointed.

The Balearic Islands are just a few hours flight from the mainland Europe yet they seem to be a world away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.  Although thousands of tourists flock here every year somehow these islands have amanged to retain their charm and beauty.
