Løkken is a popular holiday destination - and not without reason! Here you will find everything that the family can wish for in a North Sea vacation.  It is a beautiful town with a real feeling of Hans Christian Andersen to it, but behind the quaint exterior there is lots going on!

In the old quarter of Løkken you will find the charming old fishing houses. The town also has a number of good restaurants, often with outdoor seating and a view of either the picturesque town centre or the sea. Try the Løkken special: Fried plaice! Løkken offers good shopping opportunities, and the shops are open 7 days a week, all year round (though lots of the shops and some of the restaurants do close in the quieter winter months.) Furthermore you will find a museum and a few very good art galleries. You'll frequently find antique fairs selling beautiful goods in the town or markets selling local produce.

Løkken is great for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits.  The town has a great community feel and there are organised activities for people of all ages, from walks across the sand dunes to beach aerobics and fishing trips.  The beach at Løkken really is its greatest asset.  The white sands are totally free of stones or pebbles making it great for children to play on and the seas are calm and warm enough for swimming in the summer months.  Lots of locals own the pretty white beach huts that you will see lining the beach.  There are also certain areas of the 10km beach that you are able to drive on which is great fun.

Away from the beach you'll find no end of other activities.  There is a fantastic 18 hole golf course at Løkken Golfklub as well as a 9 hole pay and play course.  There are tennis courts in the town and a bowling centre, and a horse riding centre close by.  Action House in Løkken has bowling alleys, laser games, paintball, go-carts, a pinball arcade, electric cars, an internet cafe and a disco.  One thing is for sure you will never get bored in Løkken.
