Oia Holiday Villas Santorini | Greece
Oia Gallery
About the area
Oia, pronounced 'Ia', is the most famous of all the villages in Santorini. Oia justifies this reputation as it is situated in the North of the island and commands the prime location for witnessing one of the best sunsets and sunrises the world has to offer.
Oia is a traditional Greek village, with charming houses in narrow streets, blue-domed churches and sun-bathed terraces. The village is steeped in history with it's own Venetian fortress and rich geological background.
Oia's restaurants and bars, like the village itself, offer the visitor unique character with an abundance of variety. You could try Hasapiko Bar, which was once a Butchers but now serves exciting cocktails; Sunspirit Cafe, where you can sit on the veranda and take in those Panoramic views; or Oia 1800 Restaurant, which is a living museum that offers superb cuisine.
There are plenty of energetic activities nearby, including horse riding and watersports or, for something more sedate, there is the Maritime museum and art gallery.
