By Train:

Take advantage of the train station in Arezzo to reach Villa Le Fonti. Located in between Florence and Rome road, Arezzo train station is well served. The trip from the train station to Villa Le Fonti takes about 5 minutes. The Tuscan train timetable can be found on the Trenitalia web site.

By Plane:

Villa & Local Information

Villa Le Fonti is a superb nineteenth-century villa, built according to the classic Tuscan villa style. The villa offers a high standard of accommodation and is superbly situated in the peaceful village of Quarata. Quarata is a small village 5 kilometers from Arezzo centre.

The history of Villa Le Fonti starts during the second half of the 19th century, when a wealthy upper class family from Arezzo decided to build a magnificent villa overlooking the valley in which stands the Buriano Bridge, a symbol of Arezzo, which later became famous worldwide for being the bridge that Leonardo Da Vinci, the Tuscan genius, painted in La Gioconda. 

In the 90s a whole renovation and redecoration of the villa was undertaken and after years of careful and methodical work Villa Le Fonti was returned to its former glory to become once again a priceless jewel in Tuscan landscape.

 

Arezzo

Arezzo, in Eastern Tuscany, is ideally situated for the tourist.  Arezzo is traditional, charming, beautiful and conveniently compact enough to cover on foot in one day ambling idly through its fantastic winding streets which centre around the truly outstanding Piazza Grande.  Arezzo has an array of fantastic restaurants, bars, cafes and patisseries, all serving the most impeccable Italian cuisine accompanied by Arezzo’s fine wines that are considered to be a delicacy all over the world.

 At the edge of town is a train station with frequent train connections to Florence and Rome making it the perfect spot to base your Tuscan holiday.  Taxis are efficient and not too expensive but in the beautiful Italian weather nothing can beat a relaxing stroll to see the sights at their best.

On the first Sunday of every month and the Saturday preceding it there is a fantastic Antiques Fair based in the Piazza Grande and the surrounding streets, consisting of over 500 fascinating stalls.  It really is worth a visit!
