Albufeira was once a quaint fishing village with windy cobbled streets and fisherman’s boats bobbing on the calm waters. Nowadays things are a bit livelier here, though this popular holiday destination has still retained lots of its charm.
This is a great choice of destination for families or friends. The beaches are clean and safe with numerous watersports on offer. There are plenty of places to eat on the waterfront or you can take a stroll into the old part of town and discover one of the many good restaurants serving traditional and international cuisine.
Albufeira is great for shopping with gift shops galore and the fortnightly gypsy market where you can pick up jewellery and crafts at bargain prices.
After dark there are plenty of places to enjoy a drink and a dance until the sun comes up.
