About the area
Burgau is a pretty seaside village with a wonderful sandy beach, a scattering of shops and some great little restauarants. Situated just 5 minutes from Lagos and Praia da Luz, Burgau is a great place to stay if you want to be close to the action but also be able to get a spot on the beach and enjoy some peace and relaxation.
The beachside restaurant is renowned for serving dleicious, freshly caught seafood and you can sit here for hours with a cool drink watching the waves break down on the beach.
Burgau has retained much of its charm even though it is becoming a more popular destination and you can always find a little shady cafe or bar down the cobbled streets to escaoe to and feel like you are in the 'real' Portugal.
