Enjoy a coffee on the village square and watch the world go by for a taste of real Spain. For those wanting something more lively, Fuengirola is a 15 minute drive away. Here you will find numerous shops, bars and restaurants. There are numerous golf courses within 15 minutes' drive. It really does not get much better than this!!

Villa Moriana in Campo Mijas, Spain (Sleeps 10/12)

Villa Moriana is a beautiful villa both inside and out. On the approach to the villa you can see this double fronted, imposing building in all its glory. There is plenty of space to park on the secure driveway at the front of the house.

On entering the house you arrive in the impressive entrance hallway which has marble flooring and a sweeping solid wood staircase leading to the galleried landing. An archway leads from here to the living room.

The living room is a large room with patio doors that lead out to the south facing terrace. The room is furnished with 2 cream leather sofas and a coffee table. For these rare cooler evenings there is also a very cosy log burning fire. There is a large plasma TV with DVD player and Sky satellite (basic package).

The open plan kitchen/diner has a table to seat 8 guests and the modern kitchen has all appliances from a dishwasher to a toaster. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need during your self catering holiday. Doors lead out from the kitchen to the terrace, making it convenient to dine al fresco.

On the ground floor there is the first of 5 bedrooms. This room has a double bed, fitted wardrobes and bedside table with lamp. All of the bedrooms are furnished to an excellent standard and have air conditioning. There is a cloakroom on this floor with WC and washbasin.

On the first floor there are 3 further bedrooms. The master suite has a super king size bed, wardrobes, balcony access and a luxurious en-suite bathroom with corner bath. There is a double room and a twin room on this floor which share a large family bathroom.

On the lower ground floor there is a large twin room which also has space for 2 camp beds, meaning 12 guests can be accommodated in total.

Also on this lower ground floor you’ll find a fitness room with cardio and weights equipment. For those of you needing office space while you are away there is a handy ‘nook’ in the basement with desk space and broadband access.

Outside there is plenty of pace to relax on the south facing terrace or take a cooling dip in your private pool. The mature gardens and terraces are furnished with table, chairs and loungers and there is also a BBQ. This amazing villa offers unobstructed views down to the coast and lush mountains that surround you. This is the perfect spot for total privacy and relaxation.

Directions

  1. Upon leaving the airport arrivals/pick up area, follow signs for Malaga N340 - Not Salida.
  2. Go straight across at the roundabout, keep in the right hand lane, passing San Miguel brewery; take exit signed N340 Cadiz/Algeciras.
  3. Follow dual carriageway. Just after Carranza/Large Guarnieri BMW Garage - both on the right, take the exit to the right following blue overhead signs for N340 for approx 15 minutes.
  4. At junction 214 road splits into E15 or N340. Keep following signs for Fuengirola/Algeciras… TAKE EXIT 213-SIGNED MIJAS/FUENGIROLA.
  5. Keep in right hand lane.
  6. On leaving N340 turn right at roundabout taking A387 Mijas Road, signposted Mijas 4km.
  7. Continue to follow the road.
  8. As the road climbs you will pass “La Capucine Restaurant” on the right, further up, the “Hotel Puerta Del Sol” on the left.
  9. Just after passing “Restaurant Molina Del Cura” on the right you will be able to see a yellow sign on the left hand side for Las Lomas De Mijas.
  10. Turn right opposite this sign.
  11. The road splits into two, take the right hand road, which winds downhill until you reach a small roundabout.
  12. At the roundabout take right hand fork into C/Picasso passing Casa Kyoto on your right.
  13. Approx 200 yards on turn left into C/Goya.

Mijas Costa

Mijas Costa is the area covering the coastline from Torremolinos to Marbella incorporating such resorts as Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Calahonda, La Cala, El Faro, Riviera etc.

La Sierrezuela, El Coto, Las Lomas de Mijas and Campo Mijas are in the area known as Laguna de Mijas, all being exclusive residential areas set in the countryside (campo) between Fuengirola and the old town of Mijas, thus offering easy access to both the coast and the mountains.

Mijas

The village of Mijas is one of the oldest towns in Spain, steeped in history and culture it comes as no surprise this charming village still proves to be a popular tourist attraction today. Perched high up on the hillside you can explore the narrow cobbled streets and enjoy the stunning views in one of many view-points/resting places located all over the village. The Andalucia white-washed houses add to the character and charm of this village with numerous traditional Spanish craft shops, bars and restaurants. A leisurely stroll will provide an excellent opportunity to find a wonderful souvenir to take home with plenty of small shops offering leather goods, ceramics, jewellery, paintings and more. If your legs are tired from all the walking or you fancy a novel experience, why not stop by the Tourist Office and try the famous donkey taxi service and take a tour around Mijas on a donkey's back, typically around 12 euros.
