About the area

Turquoise is a family holiday resort located overlooking Tuzla lake and the surrounding forests and mountains. The mountains are covered with fabulous olive groves, pine and tamarisk trees. The area is particularly special as a natural bird sanctuary with flamingos, pelicans and white storks visiting at various times of the year. 

Turquoise boasts a great array of amenities which include 7 swimming pools, beach club, clubhouse with external and internal (heated) pool, cafe-bar, restaurant, fitness room, sauna,  and beauty parlour. Other outdoor facilities include jacuzzi, children's play area, open air cinema, ground chess, volleyball, tennis, basketball, kiddies pool and aqua slide.  The main swimming pool has a thatched pool bar and restaurant. All pools are supplied with sun loungers with cushions and umbrellas.  The Turkish Bath offers relaxing and pampering treatments.

In the resort bar there is live satellite sport events including premier and international football.  Most nights in the summer there is local live musicians and other entertainment.  There is a well stocked shop, selling everything from fresh bread, vegetables, water, ice creams and beer.

For those wanting to share their experience with family & friends back home Free WIFI is available at main pool/bar area.  There is a travel agent on site who can arrange boat trips and excursions

There is a private beach which you can access via the sister complex Royal Heights, only a few hundred metres away. The private beach club is accessed via cable car which is approx 5 minutes walk or there is also a free shuttle bus service that operates from Turquoise to Royal Heights. The Beach Club is the decked jetty style sun terrace popular in Turkey populated with sun loungers, bean bags and parasols. The beach club also offers a bar and snack facilities, water sports and fishing.   There are two more beaches nearby “Sunset” and “My Beach” both offer refreshments and a cooling dip in the crystal clear Aegean Sea.  These can be reached via the local shuttle bus.  Bodrum Peninsula’s coastline has many secluded village beaches for you to explore.  Boat trips sail regularly from Bodrum Marina and are the ideal way to see the stunning coastline.

On Lake Tuzla, there are three other superb resorts and you have access to all their facilities. Royal Heights is situated just a short walk from Turquoise and is where you can access the private beach club. This is also where you can relax and have a massage in the spa or swim in the infinity pool overlooking the sea. The popular restaurant serves traditional and international cuisine and comes highly recommended. Then there is Flamingo Country Club, this amongst many other amenities boasts a six hole pitch and putt course and restaurant. Lakeside Gardens resort which is not walking distance has fantastic facilities including mini-golf, gym, indoor pool, etc. Lakeside has a lovely restaurant and friendly staff.   Free shuttles are laid on for access to all the sites.

Vita golf course is just across the lake and consists of two championship golf courses, it also has a private golf club with bar and restaurant, this is Bodrum’s only PGA standard golf course.  The course is 5,850 meters long and offers the charm and challenge of an Old World course with a feel of traditional Scottish links. The Milas course offers the opportunity to play under the finest possible conditions. Even closer than this is the pitch and putt golf course on Lakeside providing families with hours of fun! 

A few minutes walk takes you to 'Sunset bar and restaurant' where you can take in amazing sunsets. The food includes the catch of the day at a good price, as well as pasta, burgers, salads etc. There is a shop and Taxi rank nearby and you can catch the Dolmus from here as well.

There are two local fishing villages worth visiting which are approximately a 10 minute drive away. Guvercinlik is a quaint fishing village with restaurants along the waterside. Bogazici is another village on the side of the estuary which offers restaurants and boat trips

The historic town of Bodrum and its marina can be reached in 25 minutes by car. You can catch a shuttle bus right outside Turquoise to take you to and from Bodrum. The shuttle bus will drop you at the bus station in Bodrum, from here you can catch buses to numerous other villages and the water park. There is a taxi rank just across the road from the resort if required.

Opposite the Turquoise/Flamingo resorts there is a small shopping area with several clothing shops like Beneton and other famous brands
