Villa Horizonte - (A)

Villa Horizonte is situated in the Campo Mijas area of the Costa Del Sol. The villa has a large lounge with separate bar area overlooking the private pool, perfect for keeping an eye on the children. The dining area to the rear can seat 10 people and the large terrace provides an ideal place to relax and enjoy the stunning evening sunset.

Changeover day Saturday (July and August)
During the rest of the year we are flexible, part weeks and long weekends are accepted October to April.

Villa Horizonte Description

Villa Horizonte provides stunning panoramic views overlooking Fuengirola and benefits from a quiet location. Ideally positioned just 20 minutes drive from Malaga airport and only 5 minutes by car from the resort and main coast road for easy access to all the amenities the Costa Del Sol has to offer.

Villa Horizonte has five bedrooms and sleeps 10/12. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed and an en-suite full bathroom, bedroom 2 has a king size bed and is next to the main bathroom, bedrooms 3 & 4 each have double beds and their own en-suite shower rooms with toilet, bidet & sink, bedroom 5 has a double bed and washbasin, and shares the main bathroom.

At extra charge an 11th and 12th person can sleep on the sofa/daybeds in the lounge. Towels & linen are supplied for all guests.

There is a large comfortable lounge with stunning views to the Mediterranean, a spacious dining area for 10 and also a bar area (please stock yourself!). The dining area boasts panoramic mountain views while the raised outside terrace proves to be the perfect spot to watch the evening sunset. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, microwave/grill, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The villa is also equipped with a washing machine, satellite TV, video recorder, DVD player and stereo system.

A few minutes walk takes you to the community pool with table tennis and play area for the kids. An excellent yet inexpensive restaurant and bar overlooks this pool.

There are several restaurants less than 10 minutes walk from the villa and also a supermarket and pharmacy. A local minibus service operates, stopping 25 metres from the villa and delivering you to the centre of Mijas or Fuengirola. For the energetic the town centre and beaches are about a 30 minute walk from the villa.

The villa is ideally situated for the many golf courses (& tennis) on the Costa and is also an ideal base for touring. Granada, Seville, Cordoba, Jerez, Gibraltar, Nerja and even Morocco can all be done as day trips from the villa. The White Village of Mijas, jet-set Marbella and Puerto Banus with its luxury yachts are all within easy reach. The beach, resort, AquaPark, Go-Karting, golf courses, tennis courts and horse racecourse are all a short drive away.

Outside and Garden: The private pool (approximately 10 x 4m) is surrounded by a large terrace area with sun loungers, a large pergola with tables and chairs for alfresco dining, and a gas BBQ and sink. There is also an outside shower with hot and cold water. The pool area has spectacular views over the resort to the Mediterranean and coast.

There is also a large community pool for the use of renters. Set in large gardens it has plenty of sun loungers and table tennis equipment. There is also a restaurant/bar overlooking the community gardens.

KITCHEN: 5 burner cooker/oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, plenty of crockery and cutlery. The washing machine is located by the outdoor BBQ.

LIVING ROOM: Sofas to seat 11, 28" TV, UK satellite channels, DVD player, music centre and WIFI access. There is a sofa and several chairs in the bar area.

POOL: The pool is approx 2.4m (8ft) at the deep end and approx 1m (3ft) at the shallow end (sloping). There are stairs into the pool at the shallow end and a steel ladder at the deep end.

The villa has a safe. A hair dryer, iron and ironing board are provided.

Attached to the rear of the villa is a "Granny flat". This is at a lower level than the main villa and is occupied independently. It has no access to, or view of the main villa or the pool area and terraces.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The Costa del Sol is one of Spain's most popular holiday destinations. Tourists are attracted to the region for the long hot summers which merge into the mildest winters, with over 300 days of sunshine over the year it's not hard to see why this destination is proving to be popular all year round.

Without doubt the many well kept beaches which have been awarded the European Blue Flag award, for high standards of water and sand hygiene help to provide a diverse variety of outdoor activities including, sailing, fishing, scuba diving and windsurfing. These are just a few of the activities available all year round.

The towns of Fuengirola with its golden beaches and extensive night life, and the picturesque hill top village of Mijas old town are both only a few minutes drive away, with Marbella and Puerto Banus easily reached in around 20 minutes.

Tivoli World Amusement Park (approximately 22 minutes drive) is the biggest amusement park on the Costa del Sol and offers both rides and a variety of shows including Flamenco and Wild West. To cater for younger children it has an area of the park call Tivolandia, which is perfect for kids to let off some steam.

Benalmadena Cablecar is right next door to Tivoli World, the cars run up to the summit of Monte Calamorro. Once at the top you can enjoy fantastic views over the Costa del Sol and on a clear day see Gibraltar and the North African coast. Each car can carry 4 people and the journey takes approximately 15 minutes, at the top you also have donkey rides, exhibitions of birds of prey and Spanish horse riding exhibitions all included in the price of the ticket.

Aqualand Aqua Park, Torremolinos (approximately 25 minutes drive) is the largest water park on the Costa del Sol, covering more than 70,000 square meters and has rides called Boomerang, Kamikazee Twister, Rapids and the Black Hole. The park also has an area for small children, waves pools, lots of grassy areas for those wishing to sunbathe, many restaurants and an 18 hole mini golf course.

Torremolinos Crocodile Park (approximately 25 minutes drive) is located in Torremolinos next to Aqualand.

Fuengirola Zoo (approximately 10 minutes drive) can be found in the centre of Fuengirola opposite Mijas Aquapark.

  • There is full central heating for winter use. Prices include a maximum of 4 bottles of gas per week for the heating. This is enough for an hour in the morning and a few hours in the evening for one week. Additional bottles can be purchased at 15 euros each if required.
