The Costa del Sol Lakes

Sitting in the departure lounge at Malaga airport I was joined by a young lady who arrived in a wheelchair and was helped into the next seat by a helpful member of the airport staff.

Straight away we started to chat; she was a bright, attractive, cheerful lady, maybe mid 30s, well sun tanned and for all the world she gave me the impression of having, like many do, simply become the victim of an unfortunate holiday accident.

Online Passport Application Scam

A relative of mine who is not particularly au fait with using the internet recently asked if I would help her renew her passport online.  Passport forms have long since filled people with dread; the fear of putting a cross in the wrong box or signing just outside of the allotted signature space, smiling on your photo…  Anyway, you get the gist.  Renewing your passport online is an easy process, or at least it should be but as I discovered things are not always as they seem…

Yalikavak in Turkey has everything that you could wish for in a great holiday resort; beaches, gift shops, restaurants and bars.  It also happens to sit on one of the most stunning coastlines in the world (in my humble opinion.)  So what better way to explore this than going on a boat trip from Yalikavak old harbour that takes you to all the most beautiful places along the coast and allows you to truly appreciate the beautiful scenery all around you?

Escape to Cape Verde!

If you are looking for a sunny destination to spend your Christmas, or if you simply want a winter getaway that doesn’t involve sitting for hours on a plane, you may want to consider the Cape Verde Islands.  There are 10 islands to choose from but some of the smaller, less developed islands have very little in terms of accommodation or infrastructure.
