Central Bodrum has a buzz about it whatever time of the day or night you visit. The narrow streets are filled with shops selling everything from leather, jewellery and clothing to local crafts and you can’t go far without being tempted in to buy something by the enthusiastic locals. In the evenings the city really comes alive though with hundreds of bars and restaurants heaving with locals and tourists. If you are mesmerised by the amount of places on offer perhaps our guide to Bodrum’s bars will help you out…
Hadigari Bar and Nightclub is the oldest bar in Bodrum. It was established in 1974 but moved to its current location, right next to the castle, about 7 years ago. This huge 2000 capacity bar has spectacular views over the bay from its top terrace and there is plenty of room to chill out and enjoy a cocktail here. The younger crowd tend to hang out on the cushions that are scattered on the floor but you can mingle with people of all ages in this huge place.
The Marina Yacht Club
The Marina Yacht Club has plenty of room for you to relax or to party the night away. It has 4 bars to choose from. The Club Bar is the meeting point where you can enjoy a dinner in the evening and then dance the night away to the tunes spun by the in house DJ until dawn. The Vespa Bar & Cafe is a more relaxed affair with deserts and coffees on offer throughout the day, but you can still get a mean cocktail here! The Roof Bar has spectacular views over the marina, especially at night. Enjoy a romantic drink here in more peaceful surroundings. The Jazz Bar is the largest of the 4 bars and it is the place to be as the party really gets going. Turkish and international artists perform here during the summer months and you are guaranteed an unforgettable night.
Bianca Beach Club is much more than just a bar. It’s a beach club, restaurant, fitness centre and full on nightclub after dark. This exclusive drinking hole attracts Bodrum’s jetset and tourists from all over the world. White sun loungers cover the terraces in the beach club and DJ mash ups start from lunchtime so this can turn out to be a full day to evening affair! Just make sure you have cash to splash at this upmarket party place.
Kule Rock City Bar
If you like your music then head to this bar. We’re not talking about funky house here, Kule Rock City Bar (as the name may suggest) plays rock and metal with live banks playing sometimes at weekends. The staff here are friendly and everyone really likes to party so head here if you are after a crazy night on the town without pretentious people!
