The Canaries

The Canary Islands have long since been a favourite destination for year round sunshine. These islands lie just off the coast of North Africa and enjoy a fantastic climate for pretty much 365 days of the year whilst only being a short 4 hour flight from the UK. The main islands that attract tourists are Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria.

Fuertueventura and Gran Canaria have long, golden sandy beaches and great sand dunes (perfect for quad biking!). While Tenerife and Lanzarote have black beaches that these volcanic islands are well known for. All of the islands offer lively resorts and some great place to eat, drink and party. Tenerife and Lanzarote have the loudest party resorts whilst Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura are more laid back, but whichever island you visit you'll still find places that you can relax, unwind and soak up the sunshine.

Cape Verde

Cape Verde is a relatively new holiday destination but it is fast becoming very popular and it's easy to see why. With a flight time of just over 5 hours from the UK there's nowhere else this close to home that you could find Caribbean-style beaches with white sands and turquoise waters and temperatures that are on average 10 degrees warmer than those in the Canaries. You’ll also find welcoming locals, great food, flowing drinks and infectious music! The Cape Verde Islands are also a haven for watersports lovers so try your hand at windsurfing or kitesurfing.

Sal is the most popular and the most developed of the Cape Verde islands. There are 5 star resorts popping up on the island and holidaymakers are returning year after year to soak up the year round sunshine and swim in warm waters.
