Information on France

France is one of the most visited countries in the world and this is probably down to its diversity. It has everything you could possibly wish for; great cities like Paris; beautiful beaches along the Cote d’Azur and wonderful scenery throughout the whole country.  All this is only a short hop away from the UK!

Apart from the physical beauty of the country, France also offers visitors good food, great wines, and numerous activities from skiing in the Alps to walking, canoeing and horse riding.

In the North you’ll find Normandy and Brittany with their rolling hills, sandy beaches and pretty little harbour towns. This rugged coast attracts thousands of visitors every year due to its accessibility and also its distinct identity which is very different from the rest of France. You can still sense the Celtic origin of the region.

Paris is of course one of the most popular places for tourists to visit and it is easy to see why. It truly is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and certainly the most stylish! Take in the cities beautiful architecture, amazing restaurants and designer boutiques, the perfect choice for a romantic weekend away.

The south of France has the best all year round weather and the best beaches. The Dordogne in the South West is one of the most quintessential French regions with its beautiful valleys, quaint villages and great food. The French Riviera or the Cote d’Azur has wonderful beaches, a great climate all year and attracts some of the most beautiful people to its beaches. Nice is where the French choose to holiday as it offers amazing beaches and the excitement of a big city with its winding narrow streets filled with bars and restaurants.

For those of you looking for a winter skiing break France still offers some of the best (and most exclusive) ski resorts in Europe. Ski resorts like Albertville, Grenoble and Chamonix have fantastic slopes and bustling nightlife après ski.
