Superb, 6 Bed Villa with Indoor (Heated) and Outdoor Pool; Games Room and Beautiful Gardens

Villa de la Fuente is a fantastic family villa with lots of living space.  It has 2 private pools (1 indoor and 1 outdoor); bar area and games room with pool table and table tennis table.  The indoor pool is heated.  The villa also has fantastic sun terraces for you to relax on and offers fantastic views. This superb holiday home also offers Internet TV, DVD and Wi-Fi access.

The villa is located in the prestigious La Sierrezuela Urbanisation, a short drive from Mijas in the mountains and Fuengirola on the coast.  There are a selection of shops and restaurants within walking distance of the villa in El Coto.  All the attractions and amenities on Mijas Costa are within easy reach by car or public transport.  The villa is gated with secure driveway parking and offers guests lots of privacy.

In 2017 the villa underwent extensive improvements and was painted internally and a brand new modern kitchen fitted.  For your entertainment the pool table was refurbished, a table tennis table was added, a flat screen TV was added to the games room and the viewing channels the villa received were greatly increased.  Externally the Sun terrace was refurbished and the gardens landscaped, whilst new outdoor furniture including sun loungers were added.

Villa de la Fuente in La Sierrezuela, Mijas Costa (Sleeps 10-12)

Villa de la Fuente is an air conditioned, 6 bedroom villa with room for up to 12 guests. There are 4 double en-suite rooms, 1 twin room (bunk beds) and a studio apartment with a double bed, bathroom, kitchen area and living space.  The main living area in the house has comfortable seating, a TV, DVD player and internet access meaning evenings spent at the villa are like being in a home from home.

The new kitchen (installed 2017) is well equipped and there is plenty of space to prepare meals.  A separate utility area houses the washing machine and tumble dryer.

The villas main entrance is on the first floor with direct access from the driveway.  This floor hosts the main living areas and kitchen along with bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 along with 3 of the bathrooms.  The games room, private pool (indoor and outoor) and bedrooms 4 and 5 are on the ground floor and are easily accessed via external stairs and have direct access onto the fantastic BBQ terrace.

Bedrooms 4 and 5 are linked making it an ideal family area. Both bedrooms have access to a good sized bathroom.

The studio that houses bedroom 6 is also on the ground level.  This hosts a double bed along with a lounge area and kitchenette.

The outside of the villa offers guests lots of room for relaxation with 2 large terraces and mature gardens.  Both terraces have dining seating.  The kids will be kept entertained in the swimming pool with it's slide and unusually there is also a very useful heated indoor pool.

A games room and bar on the ground level of the villa provides a great entertaining space or somewhere for the whole family to relax or enjoy a game of pool and table tennis.

Firstly, I've only put 4 stars because I can't put 4.5 stars!
We were a party of 12, including children and teenagers and this villa was perfect for us in every way. Spacious. Plenty to do. Clean. Tidy. Good location. Secure. Well kitted out. The only reason I've not given it 5 stars is because there were a few minor things which would need to be addressed to get to 5 stars. For instance, a couple of the bathrooms are looking a little tired and in need of an update. The outside areas need to be addressed and made a little more appealing. But as i said, these are only minor things and it never detracted from the holiday. But it's these little things that would need to be addressed for me to give it 5 stars.
Saying that, we had a great week here. The pool is perfect. The games/entertainment room was ideal for the younger ones in the group. There was what seemed like an endless supply of towels, including beach towels. The kitchen is fully fitted out. The lounge is comfortable. The actual villa and its amenities were perfect for us.
We had good communication with the owner and the manager and had no reason to complain about anything. If we were looking to have a villa holiday again, I would definitely consider this villa.
Mark Smith (Sunday, August 5, 2018)
Panoramic Villas response:
Thank you for your constructive feedback. We will certainly pass those comments to the property owner so that she can achieve that 5 star status! We are thrilled that you enjoyed your family holiday and we hope you will book with us again in the future.
Really good spacious and comfortable villa with excellent amenities.

Service - Odd place to start reviewing but, like any other villa, there will usually be one or two things that might need attention during your stay. The key thing is how problems are handled and resolved by the management company. We reported one or two things and Paul (from the Management team) picked these up and co-ordinated action very quickly and with minimal disruption to us. Better still, he would keep us informed of who was coming and when so we could make sure we were around/out as required.

Accommodation - The Lounge is huge and exceptionally comfortable although we didn't use it too much in all honesty. Internet service for the TV is not great and was a bit frustrating but, being a fairly remote villa served by either copper or wireless (line of sight) connectivity to the internet then it's not that surprising. The upstairs bedrooms were very comfortable and have moved me to change my mattress at home! The master bedroom area is very large with its own en-suite bathroom. The bathroom shower could do with a shower curtain or screen though as the floor can get very, very wet. Other than that, it's perfect. The other two doubles upstairs have plenty of room and were equally comfortable. The main (shared) shower (strange though it may seem) was the best of all and probably the main one to use for a relaxing powerful shower.
Kitchen has everything you need with loads of space. Fridge did struggle to get things really chilled but we did have it very well stocked and, combined with the hot weather, it was probably always going to be a struggle.
Outside the kitchen, the main terrace area with BBQ was comfortable and a good focal area for lunch and evening meals. Difficult to avoid the sun as there is limited shade but there are plenty of other areas around the villa gardens you can migrate to.
Games room is the coolest in the house probably and provided great entertainment for the kids. The fridge behind the bar also made sure cold beers and wine were always on tap! The bedroom off the games room was basic but spacious and cool and the bunk-beds that are within the same area were comfortable enough for my youngest. Only criticism is that it would have been useful to heave multiple sets of keys for this as we either had to lock them in at night or be locked out of that area as it is reached from the main terrace area with no direct access into the house itself. Indoor pool (within the games area) was too cold for my to try out sadly. Kids went in once or twice but more as a dare than anything else. Lovely looking area though which I would guess gets used more in winter months when heated. I didn't see the downstairs apartment but, by all accounts, it was equally comfortable, clean and spacious.
The pool itself is very nice and a good size for swimming or just cooling off (whichever you prefer). Kids enjoyed the slide too which was an added bonus.
The villa itself seems very secure with large lockable front gates and good locks on front door.
I would say that I don't think the villa is suitable for disabled guests as there are two flights of stairs from the main terrace to the pool but, for able bodied, it's perfect.
Location - Probably not ideal to be honest. You can walk to a few very good restaurants/bars but it's a steep hill that takes about 15+ minutes to get back up. It's unlikely you will get a taxi either as you can't flag them down (bookable only) and I don't think they like to come out from the main town to this area for, what is essentially, a two minute car ride. Well located for supermarkets and the main ride though if you're driving down the coast to other beaches etc though to be fair. Just wish it was closer to the local bars/restaurants. A taxi into the main town is about 10 Euros which isn't too bad (unless you needed 3 of them as we did!!). Good atmosphere in the town harbour area as well although we only went in a couple of times.
It's not cheap but I would 100% recommend hiring a boat from Scubbies bar to take your family out for half a day on a dolphin watch ride. Free drinks and a comfortable decking area at the front and the back with a great host. We were fortunate to have both Common and bottled nosed dolphins playing around the boat and swimming alongside for much of the journey (although I understand there is no guarantee you will get this every time). Was nice to cool off in the sea (in the middle of nowhere during a break in "hunting". It cost us 700 Euros for half a day (split between 2 families) which is a fair bit but the experience was worth it and....after all...it's meant to be a holiday!
Overall - Very nice villa and exceptionally comfortable but you will have to drive to most places (including local bars). I would suspect, for the vast majority, that's not a problem. However, wherever you decide to travel out to, you'll know you've got a great place to come back to of an evening.

Panoramic Villas response:
Thank you for your review, Peter.  I'm sure other holidaymakers looking to book this villa will find your comments useful.  We are very pleased that you all had a great holiday and we hope you will book with us sgain in the future.
Panoramic Villas saved us after being let down elsewhere. WOW!!! What an amazing and spacious villa. Absolutely perfect for our mixed group of 10 which included 3x16 year olds. So this is how 'the other half' live.
A beautiful warm pool when we went at the end of July 17, which we were only out of for an occasional game of pool in the games room; overlooking the pool, or table tennis under the veranda beside the pool, or enjoyed late evening meals as the sun fell over the horizon.
The lovely owners gave us all the details we needed for the local area and Paul, who met us with the keys, was really friendly and helpful.

Locally, the short drive to Costa Mijas beach was outstanding though morning arrival should help with parking. AquaMijas was not worth the money and EVERY little thing in there cost more. We went out for meals twice in Fuengirola and spent an average of €20 per person including drinks.

Photos' cannot do it justice. It really was, without a doubt, the best holiday of our lives. Thankyou.

Panoramic Villas response:
Thank you for your review.  We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay so much.  We hope you will book with us again and we look forward to helping you arrange your next holiday of a lifetime!

We had a fantastic stay at your villa, the bedrooms were great, and we enjoyed the pool.

R. Malde - April 2015

Our party of 12 were over the moon with this villa, to say we were impressed is an understatement. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and I will definitely like to do more villa holidays now.

A. Richards - August 2014

Villa was excellent, everything you needed and much more. A few minor things could do with sorting, shower in bedroom boiling hot constantly, sun loungers some broken, but over all brilliant.
