Beautiful 5 Bedroom Villa with Extensive Grounds, Large Pool with Stunning Views over the Mijas Mountains and Mediterranean Sea

This fantastic 5 bedroom villa is perfect for families who want plenty of outside space to relax in, a great size private pool and lots of privacy.  The villa is located in a quiet, upscale residential area and has been built and designed by the owners in the style of the Alhambra.  Located just 10 to 15 minutes’ walk from all of the wonderful amenities in picturesque Mijas, where you will find high qaulity gift shops, cafes, restaurants and bars.  There are also many attractions including one of the oldest bullrings in Andalusia, a wine museum and a chocolate factory.  There are many activities for children in town, including the famous Mijas burro ride.

The accommodation in the villa is well proportioned and split over two levels.  Large terraces wrap around the villa to the front and rear, offering views over the sea and also the mountains.  There are two living rooms; the ground floor room has a TV and DVD player, whilst the upstairs living space is perfect for relaxing with a book whilst taking in the views from the terrace.  There are five air conditioned bedrooms in the villa; three twin bedrooms and a two double rooms.  The kitchen is fully equipped for a self-catering holiday for 10 people.

Our villa manager can arrange for a private chef to come in and spoil your family with a typical Spanish meal.  Or, enjoy cooking on the new gas BBQ on the terrrace.  Any other needs?  Just enquire, we are happy to help make your holiday a memorable one.

Fiesta-the closest recommended restaurant, right on the access road into town.  Their seafood dishes are excellent

Fiesta Pollo-just next door to Fiesta is a rotisserie chicken place if you are in the mood to for take away to enjoy at the villa.  They are open from 2 PM-9 PM daily and their French fries are out of this world.  They also sell bottles of wine for a one-stop-shop

El Canuelo is on the left hand side of the "upper road" as you enter town.  This is a cozy place for a hearty meal and they always have a great football match on the television at the bar.

Past El Canuelo, also on the left is a lovely 3 generation-family owned bakery, called Maria Quero, to buy your fresh, daily baked bread, just follow your nose, you can't miss it!

A family favourite is Olivar, right next to town hall and the parkign garage for easy access.

Panoramic Villas response:
Thank you for your review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Villa SP351 and that you would recommend our services.
SP351 has perhaps the most imposing entrance to any property you are likely to find. Situated near the top of a steep but well surfaced road you swing into the large gated garden with its circular drive and portico supported by two large pillars. Entering the villa into a large hallway your attention is drawn to the view through large glass doors to the rear garden and the amazing view beyond. Because of its prime position it has the most wonderful views and it is not overlooked by the relatively few neighboring properties.

If balconies and terraces are your thing this villa has them in spades. Whilst there is not a single parasol outside for cover near the 10 sunbeds there is plenty of shade available both around the courtyard and under one of the huge palms. The balconies are worth mentioning and continue around the villa on the first floor. They come into their own on evenings as you watch Fuengirola (some 6 miles distant) light up. Also, the villa roof continues over the balconies so if you suffered some rain storms as we did, it is perfectly possible to remain outside upstairs or downstairs without being touched by a drop of rain. There is also a large balcony over the portico at the other side of the property with views over the mountains.

For four of us we never ran short of crockery or mugs, an assortment of seems to have been built up over a number of years. The ‘white goods’ have obviously been replaced periodically as have bathroom fittings which all worked well. We only used the two master bedrooms and in one of these the shower screen was an inch clear of the bath making it perfectly possible to ‘flood’ the floor without very careful positioning of the shower head. In this room the air-con unit was fitted right on top of a wardrobe which impeded any airflow and didn’t seem to have much beneficial effect. Beds were comfortable. I understand this house is around fifty years old and the furniture is largely ‘in period.’ One point was that quite a large number of light bulbs were blown around the villa including the two outside in the entrance which is in total darkness otherwise on a night returning to the villa. We replaced them but a few days later they had blown again.

There was one visit from two maids during our fortnight who did a pretty thorough job although we would have appreciated more than one bath towel and one hand towel each. (Bear in mind we were paying the same price as 10 visitors would have and therefore saving the cleaning and changing of three of the bedrooms.) There was also no hand towel in the downstairs guest WC.

The house is fitted with an alarm but there is no safe for valuables. The wi-fi was good, reliable and reasonably speedy. Moving outside the gardens are obviously well established and gardeners called at least three times to cut the grass and tidy up. A shame that the two fountains, one in the front and another at the rear did not work and didn’t appear to have for some considerable time. The pool appears to date back to the original build date of the villa with concrete construction and a water level some 12-15 inches below ground level. The floor is tiled with steps at one end. It is quite deep even at the shallow end for children and adults will be out of their depth about a third of the way along. The pool appears to have two lights in it but we never found a switch to make them work. We only saw the pool guy once early on in our stay and around 11 days later on the morning we were leaving. During this time the insect and leaf debris built up quite noticeably partly due to the windy conditions on some days. A more regular clean-up would have been welcome.

If you want a quite location but easy access to village life including bars, restaurants etc then this villa is excellent. The village of Mijas is just 15-20 minutes’ walk away down the hill. The village has lots of regular bars, wine bars, restaurants etc and as we were here the first week in Sept the local festival (which lasts 5 days) was in full swing. Getting back to the villa from the village is now uphill so we always walked into the village but got a local taxi back (about 6 euro).

We are two couples who have rented many villas over the last 30 years and our comments should been seen in this context. In renting a villa built as a family home around fifty years ago and not originally as a holiday let it is indeed a beautiful and imposing place but in some areas it would benefit from investment and further TLC.

Panoramic Villas response:
Thank you for your feedback, Colin. Your comments really are invaluable for us in terms of making sure the villa standards are maintained. We will be discussing your comments with the villa owner to ensure those things that were not 100% perfect are looked at.

We are pleased that you enjoyed your holiday and the great location of Villa SP351 and we hope you will book with us again in the future.
We have rented villas with Panoramic for the last few years and have always found the service to be excellent. On this occasion the service was once again superb, particularly the support at the villa. On arrival we found that the dishwasher wasn't working and a service engineer was sent out immediately. He found that the machine required to be replaced but this couldn't take place prior to us leaving. A refund of €75 was given without asking in recognition of our inconvenience. Great service.

What an amazing home and town. Mijas was just adorable and quaint. The perfect getaway for peace and relaxation. This home was exactly what the description said and more! I would recommend anyone who needs to just recharge to go here and stay at this beautiful home. I hope to return very soon!

Our group of six family members could not have been happier with our choice for our ten day stay on the Costa Del Sol. The landscaping with so many gardens and beautiful flowers, huge pineapple palms, and tropical vegetation was amazing and we found ourselves unable to stop taking photos of the panoramic view of the Mediterranean coast. The pool was sparklingly clean. There were so many outside seating areas we found ourselves having trouble deciding where to enjoy the view with our wine! The interior was spacious with lovely wall hangings, antiques and comfortable furniture for hanging out. Each couple enjoyed private bathrooms and those in the master bedrooms awoke to the giant palms outside their window. Mijas was a delight with a great selection of restaurants, shops and friendly people. The owner responded very quickly to the couple of questions we had. We would go back in a heartbeat!

The house was just fantastic. Stunning view, large clean rooms, well equipped kitchen, big clean pool. I could go on. The pictures doesn't lie, or actually they do, it´s even better than the pictures. Everything was absolutely perfect.

The house is situated in a quiet area just a 15 min walk to Mijas town centre, with all the restaurants, cafés and shops.

The contact to the owner was very good and helpful, both before and during the stay.

We will definitely come back, and we can absolutely recommend
