This week we look at the best best beaches on the Costa del Sol. Which has the best sand, the coolest bars and the most beautiful people?
Okay shopping on Holiday is not everyone’s idea of the best way to spend your sunshine time but for those who need their fix of retail therapy then the Parque Miramar Shopping Centre Fuengirola, Malaga on the Costa del Sol is the number one destination. The Parque Miramar shopping centre has it all and more.
If you are holidaying with children then the likelihood of being able to spend a week simply relaxing by the pool is very small! Kids need to be entertained and whilst your private pool can provide enough fun for most of the time a few days out will also be necessary no doubt. Tivoli World in Benalmadena is one of the largest theme parks on the Costa del Sol and it provides lots to do whatever your age.
The ‘Parque Aquatico Mijas’ is a large waterpark located in a handy spot just off the N340 outside the centre of Fuengirola. It’s easily reachable within 20 minutes’ drive if you are staying in any of the resort along the coast, from Benalmadena to Marbella. The park opens annually from early may to late September and prices start at 17 Euros for children up to 23 Euros for an adult. In my opinion this is good value for a full day of waterslides, whirlpools and rapids!
If you’re planning a villa holiday in Calahonda this year then you certainly won’t be disappointed with what the town has to offer. There are many things to see and do to occupy your time during your stay. However, if you’re of a more adventurous disposition and would like to get a feel of the region, you might like to visit one or two of the other close-lying attractions on the Costa del Sol. Here are some suggestions of just some of the places and attractions in and around Calahonda.
