Panoramic Villas Supports the Eleanor Rose Foundation

Eleanor Rose Foundation - Ellie's Friends, Making the Big 'C' Smaller

Panoramic Villas has offered support for several charity events in the past and this year we are proud to announce that we will be supporting the Eleanor Rose Foundation, a charity that helps improve the lives of adults living with cancer.

The Eleanor Rose Foundation was set up on 2012 in memory of Ellie Jeffery who was first diagnosed with breast cancer aged 27 and lived with the illness for 2 years, writing a blog Written Off about her experiences of living with secondary breast cancer.

From Ellie’s experiences of living with breast cancer the Eleanor Rose Foundation has launched an initiative called Ellie’s Friends which gives adults access to free or discounted services or products. Giving adults living with cancer the opportunity to enjoy life and not just survive it!

Ellie’s Friends offers cancer patients anything from free tickets to stand-up comedy nights to holiday homes…

We are hoping that our villa owners can offer their holiday homes for a discounted rate to adults living with cancer and their families that may need respite after treatment or simply a good holiday to take their minds off their illness.

Ellie was a personal friend of Jess Whittle, one of the Panoramic Villas team and in 2012 one of our villa owners kindly offered Ellie and her fiancé a week in their villa on the Costa del Sol, free of charge. In the midst of stressful and tiring cancer treatment this was just the tonic Ellie needed. It would be great if we could offer other cancer sufferers this much needed break too.

If you feel that you can offer a skill or service to cancer patients then please let us know. This doesn’t have to be a holiday home that you can rent out at a cheaper rate; it could be beauty treatments, massage therapy, professional make up skills, fitness classes or tickets to an event. Anything that you think would brighten up someone’s day or make their life easier.

We hope you will help us support the Eleanor Rose Foundation and become one of ‘Ellie’s Friends’ today!
